Vintage Mara of Mexico Ceramic Cup Mug Aries Rams For Sale

This beautiful, solid ceramic cup designed by Mara of Mexico displays the Horned Ram on two sides and the name Aries for the sign of the zodiac. It measures 4 ¼” tall, 3 7/8” in diameter at the lip, 3 ¾” in diameter at the base and weighs 1 pound, 8 ounces. It is in fine condition (see photos). (5230

Mara was an accomplished painter, sculptor and ceramicist who studied under the famous Mexican painter, Alfredo Zalce and with the famous Italian ceramist, Bruno Terese. She started her own studio in Mexico, making many forms of artistic works with the cups being a wonderful way to make a common item esthetically pleasing to the eye and touch. She sadly passed away in 2007 but her legacy of art continues as her family and studio are carrying on her artwork.
