Mastercraft was an American pipe company out of NYC, seeing its hey-day in the 1940\'s, prior to WW2 and the scarcity of briar wood. I\'m not exactly sure of the date for this pipe, but it is made of Algerian briar and made in France, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. Oh, and Bing Crosby was a poster boy for ads in the 40\'s, which makes it even more cool. (Copied photo of the ad, Courtesy of Pipedia).
The bowl has been cleaned thoroughly in the salt/grain alcohol method, and lightly sanded. The exterior has been cleaned and buffed with carnuba wax and shows only a few small scratches and dings. No cracks. The stem has also been cleaned and buffed, and shows some minor chatter at the end. Please reference photos for details. You can also email me if you\'d like to see more photos.
