Vintage Griswold Slant ERIE No 7 Cast Iron Flat Bottom Kettle Restored Condition For Sale

ThisGriswold kettle is marked with the "Slant ERIE" logo (Griswold initalics, ERIE without the PA-Pennsylvania). The series of cookware marked withthis logo was manufactured from 1906 to 1912. This kettle is over 110+ yearsold! There is pitting to the interior surface (see photos). The kettle isnow fully restored to stop the effects of corrosion. The kettle does not sitflat and is not recommended for use on a ceramic cooktop. No chips, cracks orrepairs.

Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approvedlye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal of allresidue from previous use making it safe to use once more. The item is lightlyseasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hour. This item was photographedin very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lightingconditions, items may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normallight. Photos are part of the item’s description.
