Vintage Griswold No 9 (947) Cast Iron Golf Ball Gem Baking Pan Ex Restored Cond For Sale

This is an Griswold No 9 baking gem pan. This is the second design of this pan and is more commonthan the first No 9 designed pans. This design was manufactured from 1890 to the1950s. There are 6 versions of this pan, and this is the version 6 (per Haussler, Schiffer Publishing, 1997). This one dates to the 1950s, is fully restored and in great condition.No cracks, chips, or repairs.

This item was stripped down to bare metal using collectorapproved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removalof all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. The item islightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hour. This item wasphotographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under theselighting conditions, items may take on a brown color. Items are much darkerunder normal light.
