This is a beautiful white porcelain vintage stein or puzzle mug by Gerold Porzellan. Made in West Germany". The handle was fashioned to look like a tree limb and the body of the stein is embossed with graceful vertical ribs, leaves and berries. Simple and classic design This unique stein has holes around the top of the mug, around the rim and a siphon under the top of the handle which has likewise coined the term puzzle stein or mystery stein as it is a mystery or puzzle to most what holes one must cover in order to drink out of the stein.If you use your hand to hold the stein so that you cover the correct siphon holes you are able to drink by sucking on the fist hole along the rim.The prize for drinking down to the bottom is a nude woman.
