Vintage E C Simmons Keen Kutter 1939 Hardback Store Display Counter Catalog NICE For Sale

This sale is for the large 1939 Edition E. C. Simmons Keen Kutter hardbackstore display counter catalog. The cover and back are in great condition and the pages inside are very nice most of them very white yet and there are colored pages in various sections. It is missing the beginning pages up to 100. It starts with page 101 and goes to page 2,786. It is very thick being 5\" thick. It is 11 1/2\" x 9 5/8\" and is the type you take a coin to unscrew and cover lifts off of rods to add pages, etc. This catalog was loaned by Simmons Hardware Co. to Thomas Huffman Co. of Emison, IND. per tag inside front cover. It was the type they removed pages and reinserted new ones when prices changed. Looks like the last update was 1941 according to a note on the inside cover by Al Sellens whose estate I bought this from and Al did a lot of research and had many such catalogs, I have one of these already so am selling this one. There is a large index in the center. It covers the various brands distributed by Simmons such as kitchen items, sad irons, scales, large section on pocket knives, large section on guns both pistols and revolvers with brands like Smith & Wesson -- Colt -- Harrington & Richardson - Iver Johnson - Winchester, etc, rugs, washers, clocks, scissors, axes, planes, saws, fishing items, paint, door sets, keys, shells, bicyles and so on and on. In the very back are all kind of items you can order to advertise with your name on and shelving displays available, etc. One of the most interesting to me in the back was where they advertised the Keen Kutter neon signs which are so hard to find. This catalog has it all and is very interesting to look thru with many Keen Kutter items listed and other brand also.
