I cannot say for sure but this does not look like silver plate. I really looks like silver. In the sixth photo there is a spot next to the handle of the silver part but it was a piece of wax. There is no tarnish or wear on the server. Approximately 11" long. An absolutely beautiful piece. The edges are groves (see last pic) not smooth like the inexpensive servers. This is quite nice.
