Description Up for sale is a vintage face powder box & pink powder from the early 1900’s. Some of the advertisements for this company advertised this was the Queen of Face powders. I have had this boxed up in a closet for over 25 years.
- The lid is a brown and cream coloring which has a number of small Lablanche face powder labels scattered all over the cover lid and sides. Lid is not in bad condition.
- The cover/lid lifts off to reveal pink powder under a hard plastic seal.
- On the white cardboard of this base there are a few brown spots which could have been due to being stored in dampness.
- The round cardboard base appears to be a little loose from the cardboard side, making it able to leak some of the pink powder. (about 1 ¾ inches more or less).
- There is still a large volume of the pink powder in the cardboard container.
- The underside of the box has a black and white advertisement with a winged cherub in the air for this. Someone has also written in red pen Ben Levy. In looking at other powder boxes from this company this looks to be a part of their signature or logo on the underside.
- Dimensions of this powder are: 2 1/8 inches tall and 2 7/8 inches round.
- It is truly amazing that this powder box is still generally intact. I will wrap it will plastic wrap to keep any of the loose powder from getting all over everything as its journey to you may be a little bumpy.
