Vintage Antique Lufkin Rule Co. 100 ft Surveyors Tape Brass Hardware Saginaw USA For Sale

This is an antique original 100 ft. surveyor\'s tape measure that was made by LUFKIN RULE CO in Saginaw Michigan in the USA. This tape is complete and in nice original condition. It features a steel tape that measures 5/16\" wide and has markings for every foot using about 3/4\" of lead soldered to the steel tape with a mark and a number. The winder is hinged and has a knob that snaps into a hole with a spring clip. This winder is made of brass with nickel plating. The inside spool where the tape is wound on is also made of brass. I believe this tape was likely made around the 1930s, maybe earlier. It is complete with no damage and is in working condition but it would likely serve a better purpose as an antique collectable wall hanger in a construction shop.

If you think that might be the case, we will eagerly give you a direct quote upon knowing your zip code. We do feel, however, that quality packaging is more important than saving a few pennies.
