Vintage / Antique Goodwin's 1844 10 1/4" Decorative Portrait Plate, Iron Stone China
Both beautiful & charming, this vintage / antique Portrait Plate depicts a lovely late 18th century woman. Her serene pose and feminine finery suggests " a woman of some wealth".
The 10 1/4" plate is marked Goodwin's 1844, Iron Stone China with hints of a misty sea foam green and slight iridescence on the front border. There is much fading of the green, however, the inside gold, finely painted trim is intact as is the portrait itself.
Crazing is quite visible on both the plate front & back, however, it merely adds a sweet elegance to this decorative and delightful collectible.
From my personal collection. I purchased in the mid 1980's from a local Antique Shoppe.
