This is an authentic, original glass shade and hanger for a Model 1214 Aladdin hanging lamp manufactured by The Mantle Lamp Company of America in Chicago. These lamps were sold in the United States between 1928 and 1935.
The glass shade is 12\' in diameter at the base and 8 1/2\" tall. It has a satin white base with a crystal apron. It is in excellent condition. The original model number of this shade was Aladdin 616.
The hanger is approximately 17 1/2\" tall, overall. A 5\" diameter ring in the middle accommodates the top opening of the glass shade. The hanger is secured to the shade with four thumbscrews. The original satin bronze finish is slightly rusted. The original model number of the hanging lamp, of which this hanger was a part, was Aladdin 1214B.
Other parts of the Model 1214B hanging lamp (such as the burner, base and chimney) are NOT included.
This is a \"one-owner\" item. We do not know the exact year it was purchased, but we are absolutely certain of the single ownership since that time. It is at least 80 years old.
This is the real deal. It is NOT a \"reproduction\" or a \"replacement\" item. If you are looking for an authentic antique original, this is it.
