Thank you for choosing this item from the copperware collection of Benjamin & Medwin.This copperware is made of the highest quality of solid copper and the inside has been lined with Nickel Plate to provide a hygenic and practical surface.Instructions for Decorative Copperware:Copperware has a protective coating to retard tarnishing. You only have to dust it with a soft cloth.Applicable ceramic pieces are freezer safe and oven-proof. However, before placing in the oven, allow adjustment to room temperature.When removing from oven, do not place directly on a cold surface - avoid large temperature changes.Ceramic items can also be used in the microwave oven.
Use of direct flame burners and broilers will cause damage. Normal washing procedures should be followed.Instructions for Cookware:As stated before, copperware has a coating protecting it from a high degree of tarnishing. However, before exposing to a direct heat or flame, the coating should be removed by soaking the product in boiling water to which baking soda has been added in the proportion of one heaping tablespoon to one quart of water. After about fifteen minutes of boiling the item in a large pot of water, the coating will start to soften and begin to peel off. Remove from solution and wash with hot water. If item is large, you may remove lacquer half at a time. Acetone, available from any paint store, will also remove stubborn lacquer. Thereafter, use a non abrasive polish with a soft cloth to retain the lustre.
When Cooking:1. Be sure not to place the copperware on a flame or in the oven without either some liquid or cooking fat inside, sufficient enough not to dry out2. Use of the minimum heat is required since copper conducts even and quick heat3. Wooden or plastic spoon is ideal for stirring to avoid scratching the fine copper surface.After Cooking:Washing normally in hot soapy water, rinse and then polish the outside only with any good brand of copper polish.DOURO COPPER Printed in Korea\"
