O-Mok-See is a Blackfoot Native American Indian horse dance. It’s literal meaning in English is “Riding Big Dance”. Originally a war ceremony, it was not practiced for over fifty years. It’s purpose was to install courage and enthusiasm prior to battle. The horse riders danced to the beat of drums and music. If anyone fell off of a horse it was considered an omen of bad luck. It has since become a timed riding event for modern day participants.RARE 1999 SR. WOMENS IDAHO STATE O-MOK-SEE RESERVE CHAMPION HIGH POINT CRUMRINE HEAVY STERLING SILVER & GOLD PLATED TROPHY BELT BUCKLE— This pre-owned trophy buckle is in new old stock and perfect condition. It still has the original Crumrine tag attached. There is only extremely minor tarnish from being in storage over the 20 plus years since it was manufactured. The buckle measures 4 3/4” x 4”, fits belts up to 2” wide, and weighs a very hefty 250 grams or 9 ounces on our scale. It was made in the USA and the metals are heavy silver and gold plating on a jewelers bronze base. It will be shipped USPS first class package carefully wrapped.
