This is thee 1st generation Schwinn Jauguar that came out in 1954 and ended in 1955. That was the only 2 years they came with balloon tires. This bike needs to be restored, but you could get it up and running with a little work. I am missing a front brake as you can see, and I do not know if the rear brake, 3 speed shifter or brake handles are original to the bike. I assume they are not because they are in pretty good shape. The handlebar grips look to be in ok shape, and they look like the 1950\'s grips, so they might be original to the bike.I did put a chain on it to make sure the 3 speed hub works, and it does. The wheels are the original S2 rims, and the Sturmey Archer Hub is dated 55.Using the serial number, this bike looks to have been built between 02/04 to 02/24/1955. I found a little original paint on it, and it looks like it was red, so that would be Opal Red for that year.
The S2 Schwinn rim took the tire size 26x2.125, so it will not be difficult to find some whitewall tires for it.

They use shipbikes.com to ship the bicycle. They will box it, weigh it, and send you the information to get a shipping cost. You will need to go thru that sight to line up the shipping, and insurance for the bike. This way you can make any claim for lost, missing or broken items. It makes it much easier because you have the package. FedEx will pick up the bike from Elite, and ship it to you. I put in normal shipping bike data: Box 55” L, 10” W, 25” H, and a weight of 55lbs with a value of $500. The shipping cost was less than $60.
