This vintage Gillette razor set from the 1920s is a must-have for any collector. The inside of the case is in fair condition. The velvet still has nice color to it and the Gillette trademark logo is quite visible. The outer part of the case is worn. You can still make out the Gillette logo on the top, and the case has a solid snap.
The handle has a minor hairline crack on both ends, which is quite common with this model. The cracks do not affect the shave and the handle will sustain itself as long as you don’t torque the hollow barreled handle. The top cap has a nice gold luster and the open comb teeth are in stellar condition. The Old Type is a highly efficient razor and a true classic. The blade holder is in good condition and it holds one Vintage Gillette Thin Blade.
