Natural Purple Creedite Cluster, Display Collector's,Creedite Mineral Specimens-Qinglong Mine, China

Item Description

VERY RARE and rich YELLOW creedite from the antimony-gold Qinglong Mine of China - actually a surprise to us! We had to look it up in his catalog, in a bit of a puzzle, when it turned up as we process this huge and diverse collection. He was on the spot at the Munich show in the old days, buying from China in the earliest years of offerings of the first Chinese sources coming to Europe. Spherical aggregates of gemmy to translucent yellow creedite crystals dramatically and richly cover the sculptural mounded vertical small cabinet matrix. The balls reach about 1.5 cm across. Trace amounts of uranium cause the yellow colour.

Origin - Qinglong Mine, China

Weight - 114 grams

Dimensions - 9 cm x 6 cm x 4 cm

Most creedites from here are colourless or lavender. This mine produces the only collector quality Chinese creedite. The piece displays well without aid. An exceptional, RARE colour and a rich creedite from the locale. Although the locality still produces creedite today, it is pale purple hues, or colorless. This is totally unique in our experience.

Creedite is a fluoride mineral found in white/colorless, orange, rose, or purple coloring. The stone is better known as a collector's mineral than a jewelry gemstone. Is creedite rare? Yes, creedite is a rare mineral and even rarer gemstone, since cuttable material is scarce

Purple and orange creedite crystals possess fire energy, which emulates warmth, charisma, and passion. Spiritual practitioners often use creedite for facilitating meditation or out-of-body experiences, along with channeling spirits to interpret the meaning of messages like those in tarot readings
