So hard to describe this piece… It’s so delicate, it’s so elegant, it’s a work of art! This was obtained in Italy sometime in the 1960s to 1980s and I suspect that is the time it was made; however, it could be older, I’m not sure. My father-in-law brought this back from one of his many business trips overseas.
I hope you can appreciate how gorgeous this is and that it is so close to 12” tall is There are no flaws. There is no damage. It is in beautiful condition.
It measures almost 12” inches tall, and it appears to me that the base, the swan stem, and the drinking vessel are separate pieces that were applied - certainly did not come out of a mold. The swan is exquisite, so delicate, no detail spared, even the eyes are realistic. There is a pontil present and visible but it’s been ground smooth. I’ve looked but I don’t find a makers mark or an artist signature, maybe it’s there and you can find it.
