VTG Cincinnati Tool Co. 60” Hargrave Bar Clamps 640-C I-Beam 1.5"WX5/8" (10 LBS) For Sale

Up for your consideration is this handsomely crafted pair of vintage I-Beam clamps produced by Cincinnati Tool Co., believed to be model "640-C." Used by a loved one for woodworking projects in his shop for decades-in need of a new home and another chance to be put back to work! Lovingly preserved by our family as part of our eclectic life-long collection of oddities (check out my other listings for more unique and unusual finds!). Please view photos and condition description below as they are also part of the description. Overall condition: USED IN "ACCEPTABLE" CONDITION. These clamps were used for woodworking projects by a loved one for decades. Still work with parts intact. Surface patina/rust present on both, but both clamps appear to be solid and weigh 10 LBS each! Overall length at handles is 60", but working area is around 48" below works. Lots of different numbers on these, but 640-C is the number I've listed (other parts list different letters). Patent appears to end in "48" although I'm not sure if that coincides with date (like 1948) as the period of these is around WWII, as I understand. Wood handles have varying color/dents/chips condition.Overall dimensions: These clamps measure approximately 60" Long Overall at handles, with an apparent working area of close to 48" and the I-beams measure 1.5" Wide X 5/8" Thick. Each clamp weighs around 10 LBS, so they are substantial pieces.
