The roots of ANRI began in the late 19th century. Alois Riffeser traveled throughout Europe selling wood carved figurines and toys bought from the Gröden Valley in the Alps. Josef Anton Riffeser started the ANRI Company. The name comes from the first 2 letters of his first and last name. Riffeser was a prisoner of war in Siberia during World War 1 and during that time he developed a plan for his company. These Estate pieces are by the artist Juan Ferrandiz. He was born in Barcelona in 1917. His designs were motivated by his desire to unite people, banish hatred, and favor piece. He believed that the innocence and beauty of children was something to aspire to because as adults, we sometimes lose that capacity.
