Offered here is a powerful example of machine agedesign. This large stepped lamp was precision machined from two solid pieces of aluminum in a way most similar to those produced by Pattyn and attributed to Walter Von Nessen of that era. It is both solid and substantial, weighing over 4 lbs.
This lamp is in excellent working order and original cosmetic condition. The original socket has been replaced with new old stock and with UNO top portion of the shell, so as to support contemporary lamp shades. Original pushbutton switch has been replaced with newlike kind. The lamp has been newly wired with reproduction vintage style rayon covered cord and appointed with a new vintage period plug. A new bottom felt has been applied. The black linen shade shown here is included with your purchase.
