RARE: Virginia Metalcrafters The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Reserve Collection Cast Iron Owl!
Beautiful aged patina, and two markings underneath the base.
One says Williamsburg and the other says Virginia Metalcrafters.
This was used as a door stop, but can be displayed as a garden decoration, or against some books on a shelf.
• Two parts seamless mold.
Owl is very heavy, over 10lbs!!
• Measurements are 10\" tall, and a base of 5\"wide.
Very Light wear on the bottom base from use, some light rust, ( see picture) it\'s in excellent condition for it\'s age!
1950- Virginia MetalCrafters began their line of colonial Williamsburg brass and cast iron reproductions.
Virginia Metal Crafters uses the same hand casting and finishing methods as those used in the original colonial pieces. Up until recently Virginia Metalcrafters made license products for Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Charleston, Mount Vernon, and the Smithsonian. The company closed in 2005. Making their products very coveted!
