Here is a vintage Sheaffer Triumph Valiant Vacuum “Vac” Filling fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in brown.
This is in near mint condition. It has not been restored or refurbished at all. It was found in this condition. Both pen and pencil look to have seen very little use. Maybe a gift that was tested out when new and say in a drawer for decades until found?
I have tested the pen with water and it does draw and expel ink. I cannot guarantee the life of longevity of the filling system, but currently it does seem to be working.
Fountain pen features Sheaffer’s iconic conical Triumph nib in 14k gold. No size marked, but nib looks to be a fine and is firm.
Gold filled clips, cap bands and pencil nose cone are all in exceptional condition with no signs or brassing.
Both pen and pencil are free from any names, initials, monograms or personalization. Factory imprints are present on both pen and pencil. Imprints are sharp, crisp and easily read with no wear.
