VINTAGE 1940 LAMOTTE CHEMICALPRODUCTS CO. BLOOD SUGARTESTING KITPLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION
Thisblood sugar testing kit from Lamotte Chemical Productswas generously donated to the Assistance league of Temecula.
An unusual item up for sale: an old-time blood sugar testing kit from Lamotte Chemical Products in great condition.Made in the USA
This great old gem is truly fascinating. The case it comes in is mahogany and is assembled by rebate joints (no nails). It is a very solid piece of work. The hardware is brass and has a lovely aged patina. The box itself has scratches in it from use. The inside lid is lined in green felt and has hardware to hold the largest test tube and a couple pipettes. The base has a raised wood platform with holes in it to hold all the accessories.
This comes with four chemical bottles (that are almost full) that used to hold the testing reagent\'s. There are also seven completely sealed glass vials of blue liquid that where used to compare your results too. The darker the liquid the higher the blood sugar. The labels though yellowing from age, are all still firmly attached to all the bottles and vials. They are all in decent vintage condition and easy to read.
There are two droppers that are also bottle stoppers and a test tube. This is a wonderful set for anyone who collects vintage / antique medical equipment or perhaps a doctor or nurse who would enjoy having a bit of history from their trade. It is difficult to find a set this complete making this one extra special. Its a fun reminder of how far medical science has advanced.
This is an antique kit and as such has the wear and dust one would expect to go along with it, but no musty odor.
The box measures 9.75\" wide x 6.75\" tall x 5.75\" deep
