Ultra Rare Artifact Handmade Medallion from Mauthausen Gusen Concentration Camp For Sale

I present to your attention a unique artifact, a medallion handmade by a prisoner of the Mauthausen Gusen concentration camp. Judging by documents in the archives found in the public domain, the military man was captured in Dachau on August 2, 1940, and transferred to Mauthausen on November 5. 1943 and the last mention in the Gusen certificate 04/30/1945. On the medallion there is an inscription on a red background “Vanichka 11/3/1922”, which corresponds to the name and date of birth in the documents “Ivan Fuglem 11/3/1922”. Further around the circle is the inscription “I will not forget my dear mother,” which leads to the sending of Soviet camps and prisons, since all prisoners of war fell under NKVD repression and spent the rest of their lives there, as evidenced by the shape of the medallion in the shape of a card suit of spades. On the back is the inscription in the center “36958 R”, which corresponds to the number of the prisoner of war in the documents, along the outline there is the inscription “Memory of the Mauthausen camp”. Perhaps the medallion was made in Mauthausen, but perhaps also in Soviet camps after liberation from captivity. Made from a single piece of aluminum with a short chain. Unfortunately, nothing is known about his further fate after his release from captivity.
