US Indian Wars 1873 Trap Door Springfield Rifle Bayonet Belt Hook Frog NICE For Sale

For sale here is a nice US Indian Wars Model 1873 Trap Door Bayonet. The Bayonet is complete with scabbard and frog. The Bayonet has a blade length of roughly 18\" and an overall length of roughly 21\". The blade retains nearly 100% of its original blue finish, but does have a few spots of surface frosting. The front side of the bayonet is marked US. The socket portion of the bayonet shows little to know wear. The ring spins as it should. The blade has no nicks or sharpening. The metal body of the scabbard is nice with no dents or dings. The scabbard, like the blade, shows almost 100% of its blueing, but ther is some frosting, tiny spots of surface rust, and some wear. The leather frog has a great looking US rosette. The leather has some surface finish loss, but is very nice. The leather frog has the brass hook hanger that shows a nice patina. The bayonet bayonet slides in and out of the bayonet just like it should with the perfect amount of tension. I have owned many of these over the years, but this is one of the nicest that i have had. You will be pleased.
