The Navajo rug was purchased over 30 years ago in Santa Fe, New
Mexico. The rug was made in the early
50’s with a traditional Two Gray Hills pattern and has a “spirit line*” (weavers
path) that further shows authenticity. It
has been stored in a cedar chest with other memories of the many trips we took
over the years. It has never been
cleaned (which is a good thing) and still has the original markings of wear but
is in very good condition.
Size: 32” wide and 49” long
* The Navajo weavers often use in their
weavings a small line that runs horizontally to the edge of the rug. This is a
spirit line which the Navajo believe will let their spirit escape the rug.
We will securely package and insured the rug and ship via UPS Ground with
Signature Required unless otherwise instructed.
PLEASE NOTE: We brought this rug at a fine art rug gallery in Santa Fe over 30 years ago for 995.00. Since we are moving to Europe in the Spring, we are selling it far below market value.
