Thismesquite wood salad bowlis absolutelyexquisite. Arizona artists Christine and Ron Sisco have inset the naturalcrevices of the the hand crafted mesquite wood with turquoise stone composites. They are handmade so no two are alike.
The Siscos developed the concept of enhancing thewood with stone based on ancient Chinese practices she learned in art historyclass. \"In the Ming Dynasty, cracks in porcelain were often filled withgold\" she explains. We decided to try the same thing with turquoise in ourartisan wood works.
Christine and Ron only use Sleeping Beauty turquoisefor their inlay. The Siscos choose this stone for its tranquil blue color andlack of black matrix
