The piece has yellowed with age but is otherwise in very good condition. It was never used.Penny gambling punch cards, also known as punch boards, were popular in the 1930s. They were inexpensive and widely accessible, often found in taverns and at checkout counters of five-and-dimes. These boards were made of pressed cardboard with holes that concealed paper slips with numbers or symbols. Participants would pay a penny to punch out a slip in hopes of revealing a winning number.
