Theodore Haviland Limoges France Lidded Bowl Floral Design - late 1800's For Sale

This charming lidded bowl measures approximately 7.5" handle to handle and stands approximately 5.5" high. I truly don't know what type of serveware this piece is: a big sugar bowl? a small vegetable bowl? a biscuit bowl? bullion bowl? I don't know - but it is adorable! And in lovely vintage condition: there are no chips, no cracks, no crazing. There is some age-appropriate wear to the gold on handles/lid, as shown in pictures. The florals on this piece are a bluish-greyish with light pinkish like a peony almost with tiny touches of lavender scattered about: I believe that it is the "Parabere" pattern, based on the markings on the lid and on the bowl. The piece is marked on BOTH the bottom of the bowl and on the inside of the lid: "Theodore Haviland Limoges France Set Parabere Patent Applied For." I believe it was made in the 1890's - possibly 1893. Really beautiful piece - I feel like it's very versatile and could be used for many things (even bath salts in a French country bathroom!)Thanks for your consideration!
