This listing is for a striking collector plate entitled "The Grouse" which is the Second Issuein the "Upland Birds of North America" collection byWayne Andersonfor the Knowles Fine China Company.This 8 1/2-inch plate is hand numbered and in excellent condition.
The artist's note on the back of the plate says: My painting, as I have seen in nature, contrasts the grouse's warm bronze hues against the cold blues of a late winter sunrise.
