Pendulum Press (West Haven, Connecticut) in 1978 released a CONTEMPORARY MOTIVATORS series. This 32 page comic book (STAR WARS by George Lucas) was part of an educational kit that has all but been forgotten except by old-school Star Wars collectors and fans. It is an illlustrated (black and white by Charles Nicholas) adaptation (by Linda A. Cadrain) of STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE. Dialog does not precisely match the movie and location of some scenes are altered, if not removed altogether. This is a rare, vintage paperback book.
I found a website that listed the top 10 rarest Star Wars Comics. This comic was listed as the third rarest.

"In the late 70s, Pendulum Press was producing a series of teaching materials called “Contemporary Motivators.” The set included multiple copies of a black and white comic roughly retelling the story from A New Hope. Part of the set was this comic designed to make learning fun and “motivate” remedial readers to improve their reading skills."

I don't believe the book has ever been read but it has been shelved for a while and shows some shelf rub. Still well-stapled. Excellent interior pages.
I found 14 of these books at an estate sale. I will be listing them with a quantity of 14. If you want more than one, then you can increase the quantity you want to buy, asl long as the quantity left is still more than one.
