Signed 20” Hand Crafted Great Horned Owl Kachina Doll by Lango For Sale

The great horned owl is a symbol of mystery and wisdom and represents cycles of life, death and rebirth, as well nature, divinity and the unseen realm of spirit. This kachina doll has a rabbit fur headdress with black and white painted wooden feathers. His buggy eyes and open-mouth beak are tawny colored with black outlines. His breechcloth is black leather and painted with a stylization of the sun. He has rabbit fur coverings over his red moccasins. He clutches switches bound with string in one hand and an ivory felt cloth in the other. He is posed in mid-dance, balancing on his right leg. The signature on the bottom of this piece appears to be “B & D Lango.” Stand is 6.5 inches in diameter. Dimensions: 20” high x 8 ½” deep x 11” wide. Weighs one pound and 9 ounces.Local pick ups okay.
