Scarce Large 1964 Vtg Schlitz Beer Lighted Sign Clock Milwaukee WI Mid Century For Sale

Please read the entire description before offerding, as the sign is being sold completely As-Is, simply due to the high cost of shipping such a large item! Here we go Schlitz people! Bet you don\'t have this one! Killer and possibly unique Schlitz lighted sign. This is a very large sign, measuring approx. 48 \" wide x 16\" tall x 7\" deep at the top. Illuminated by a long fluorescent tube with starter and transformer and works well. It takes a few seconds to ignite when first turned on, which is normal for the older fluorescent fixtures.There is a pull chain type switch on the top to turn the light on or off. There are plastic lenses on the top and bottom of the sign, which shine light above and below the fixture, along with the illuminated sign face. The clockisvery quiet and keeps good time. Ithas the quality metal gear Hanson Gold case Synchron motor,famous for it\'s quiet operation and durability. This is a message board type sign, which would have originally had small numbers and letters to insert in the slots on the left side. These are not present but still can be purchased online or easily fabricated. The colorshave a great mid century look, with the turquois and yellow. Quite unusual for a beer sign. Notice how blue the man\'s eyes are! Too cool. The sign displays beautifully and is clean and ready to display and enjoy. I can include some extra jack chain if requested. The item does show various areas of wear and tear and patina from age and use. There is some small cracking to the top shade near the right end. The thin plastic cover over the sign face has a couple of splits and a wrinkle. I took close up pics of these areas. Ican send addition pics to seriously interested parties. There is arepaired chip to the bottom plastic shade just below the man\'s hand. There is a small hairline crack near the hole where the clock shaft protrudes. All of these imperfections would likely be overlooked except upon close inspection. The thin plastic sign face cover could be easily replaced should you desire to do so but is really not necessary,just depends on how picky you are. Please expect the item to have various other areas of wear and tear and patina, including scratches, scrapes, rust, dirt, stress cracks, dings, etc. I\'m not trying to degrade the item, as it really is inniceconditionfor the age, just trying to be thorough.
