STUNNING VINTAGE MID CENTURY MEXICO ALPACA ABALONE SHELL 9” TALL WATER PITCHER.
As stamped, ALPACA silver metal water jug - made in Mexico - Mid Century Modern style design - inlaid all over with real abalone shell - not a single mosaic piece is damaged or cracked- so beautiful!!
As with age, metal has some tarnish, see pics of bottom and little cute bent metal feet for visual, and I would not recommend actually using for serving drinks - it is a stunning decorative statement piece but impractical for serving. Could be used as a flower pitcher / vase.
As always, please inspect each photo as part of the listing. This was my grandma’s pitcher and I always thought it was so fabulous and opulent looking. Surprisingly, there are no chips or pieces missing of the abalone shell anywhere that I can see.
