Rosa Louise McCauley Parks [1913 2005] was an American activist in the civil rights movement best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott. On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks rejected bus driver James F. Blake's order to relinquish her seat in the ''colored section'' to a white passenger, after the white's only section was filled. Park's act of defiance and the Montgomery bus boycott became important symbols of the civil rights movement. Listed for sale is a beautifully framed display which contains a limited-edition lithograph signed by Rosa Louise McCauley Parks. The lithograph is titled, The Mentor and was painted by artist Anthony Douglas and contains images of important events in her life. This lithograph is signed by Rosa Parks in black felt pen and is also signed by the artist [Anthony Douglas] and numbered #.
