Amazing estate find this Hitachi compact disc player works great with the headphones plugged in. without the headphones. Nothing comes out of the little speaker when it plays so please keep that in mind when inquiring or purchasing this CD player also battery compartment is completely clean but little pieces of plastic have come off Where one of the battery connections rest so the metal connection comes out. so if you’re going to use batteries, you may need to fix that please see photos of close-up inside of battery compartment feel free to ask any questions before purchasing
