Rare Uruguay Model 1871 South American Socket Bayonet Mauser + Leather Sheath For Sale

Here is a Rare Uruguay Socket Bayonet. An interesting bayonet in that it snaps right into a German Model 1871 Mauser, Easy to identify because of the short socket and the fact that it has no clasp screw on the clasp/ring This bayonet also measures 17.50" blade, socket length is 2.12", the inside socket diameter is .695" . The triangular blades are all fluted, A very well made piece. The ricasso shows partial former marking overstamped with the British "sold from service" cancellation mark with addl. marks. White leather strap on scabbard throat shows a tight crack and a small hole in by the numbers. Side of scabbard marked, "29 1886". This is the correct scabbard for this. The Belgiuns also used this for their M1867 Albini Bayonets. A rare find. See photos.
