Rare* J ELLWOOD LEE CO Silk Worm Ligature Display w/ 5 Tubes * Conshohocken PA

This sale is for a very scarce, colorful display of Lee’s Aseptic Ligature Tubes from the J. Ellwood Lee Co of Conshohocken, PA. J. Ellwood Lee sold his business to Johnson & Johnson in 1905 before starting Lee Tires. The 6 ⅛” x 6 ½” x ⅛” thick display card is split in half along the weak line of stitching holes at the center but could be repaired with a support on the back. The display has 5 intact glass tubes of silk worm ligatures of fine or medium gauge. Four tubes are 3 ⅝” long and the 5th is 4” high with a ‘candy cane’ shape. The panel of the display is very colorful. The overall condition is Good to VG due to the split card. The glass tubes are undamaged with the exception of a small paper loss on the ‘candy cane’ tube label. Please look at all the photos and ask any questions.
