This incredible Rare Stein features a Tall Clear Glass body decorated with Green Glass Rings and applied Prunts.The Pewter Rim holds a lid with Green finial, The Pewter Brace for the lid rises from the handle and holds a Figure,The Figural Pewter finial depicts a Man Standing with a broom as he Drinks his beverage.

Answer to question:This "line" is actually multiple green glass threads that were dripped across the handle when the green glass prunts were applied.
These "lines" or "threads" are characteristic indications of fact this is a hand built, hand blown piece.
You will see loss to the upper green glass ring at two points, the only damage.
This piece is 140 to 170 years old and, actually in very good condition.
