Which would put the date of the knife at around 1945 to 1953. When the depression hit. The Tin Caps were affordable. Imperial Knife may have started the Tin Cap knife or vice versa. The blade has been used and sharpened by an novice. The blade runs a bit stiff with no snap. The handle is stamped "New York". the blade is stamped Hammer Brand USA.
