Here for your consideration today we have a very rare picture.
It is a framed piece of birch bark with a pair of deer jumping a stream with some trees. The deer, stream and trees are all porcupine quills. It is framed in an oak frame with a wood backing which is signed and dated. I can not make out the last name but the first name looks like Irene followed by RR 1Nobel Ontario 1964 Shawanaga Reserve. It measures 16 1/2" by 12 1/2" including the frame and 13 1/4" by 9 1/2" not including the frame. There is damage to 2 of the quills that make a clump of grass in the bottom right corner this is shown in picture #8. Otherwiseabsolutelyno damage. This is an extremely rare item given its size and condition.
