RARE 50\'s Pink Atomic Stratoform Barkcloth Vintage Fabric with Mobile Space Age For Sale

Design Stratoform is quite something isn\'t it...original 1950\'s barkcloth...the most scrumptious of colorways...unusual to say the least...TURQUOISE...CHARCOAL...LAVENDER on PINK...with black and white accents...creating something quite spectacular...something significantly telling of the trend of the times...as often history does with vintage fabrics...a pattern and colorway inspired and designed at the height of science and space in america...the mid 1950\'s...creating a movement of modernism in home decor that was in modern furniture stores across america used on mid century modern and just about anything you can create to add some vibe to your space...it was a unique time in history...one that was divisive between those who looked to science for definitive answers and others who chose to ignore it...during those times in social circles there was quite a divide...those more modernist minded required similar minds...whereas traditionalists tended to be more conservative and straight laced...not fancy free and free thinking as some of the modernists tended to be...bohemian parties...a sense of non conformity was in the air and it was reflective in the clothes being worn and the fabrics furnishings were upholstered...so I don\'t take these vintage treasures lightly...I take it all in...all of the history of the times they were created...as well as the quality...design and colorway...for me it is a spiritual connection that I have on every level of what I love and appreciate about vintage textiles...some say my obsession...but for me it is just what I adore!
This offering is for ONE very fabulous unused unwashed fabric remnant cut from the original bolt I owned and still have cuts available from...a spectacular pattern to make a striking pillow or top for a modern cushion for that McCobb chair you\'ve been dying to cover...this is the time...I do have more available...1950\'s unused original traditional weave barkcloth...not something that comes around everyday...so appreciate it for what it is...and do it justice by creating the most perfect art from it...Measures 24 inches wide x 21 inches long.
