18th Century 1700s Revolutionary War Era hand forged sword
Sword is in Relic condition with signs of corrosion and deep pitting on Blade & tang. Measuring approximately 22 1/2”inches long with a 16”inch single edged forged iron blade. With a thick 3/8 fuller line on the spine.Iron collar and raised pommel cap.
Turned maple or oak hilt with wood shrinkage and insect damage but is still tight and secure. Knife has a full tang common for construction in the late 18th too early nineteenth century this one is in likely used for farm use eventually cut down from a saber.
