This an original photograph of Johnny Cash flipping the bird while onstage at San Quentin prison in 1969 The photo was taken by legendary rock photographer Jim Marshall (1936-2010)
I purchased this photo directly from Jim before his passing. It is signed in pencil, clearly on the mat. The actual photo is also signed, as well as the back mat featuring the stamp of Jim Marshall's studio before his passing. The framed mat has been cut to display the stamp.
Of the photo, Marshall said, "This is probably the most ripped off photograph in the history of the world. There was a TV crew behind me and John was on the side of the stage. I said 'John, let's do a shot for the warden."Buyer to pay flat rate shipping unless special insurance is requested, and then will be quoted appropriately.
The photograph measures 8x10" when framed, the piece is 16'x20". The photo ships framed as in the listing.
