Paul Jean-Baptiste Gasq born in Dijon on Mars 30, 1860 and died in Paris on October 28, 1944 is a French sculptor.
Paul Gasq was born in Dijon, rue de la Gare, Maison Andriot. He is the son of Joseph Gasq, employee of the railway and usually domiciled at 2, rue de Perrache in Lyon, and of his wife Ursule Jacotot, without profession.

He was a student at the School of Fine Arts in Dijon then, from 1879, at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. Winner of the first prize of Rome for sculpture in 1890, he became a resident of the Villa Medici in Rome from 1891 to 18941.

At the Salon des Artistes Français, he obtained a second class medal in 1893, a first class medal in 1896 and the medal of honor in 1911.

Member of the Academy of Fine Arts from 1935 (chair 6), he was curator of the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dijon from 1932 until 1943.

Paul Gasq died in 1944 in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. He was provisionally buried in the Batignolles cemetery, then transferred to the Péjoces cemetery in Dijon. 1893-1896 Medea Marble statue. Paris, Tuileries Garden (since 1904) 2.
