This comes from my private collection. I have been collecting Native American potteries, baskets, and rugs for almost 50 years. I have approx 300 pottery pieces and almost the same in baskets. I am moving so I am down sizing a bit. Most of my collection is very large pieces. Many have just come back to me from museumloan.
This offering is an older \"whirling logs\" basket. Maybe one or two missing stitches, I tried to show. The basket is very solid.
Measures approx 9\" x 7 1/2\" x 3\" tall. Very rare to see \"whirling logs\" design. Early 1900\'sI tried to clearly show any flaws the photos. This basket is very tight and in super condition!The last two photos show the other listings I have and shows the bottom of this basket. This listing is for the oval basket only !I will be listing many more items. Most of my collection consists of very large examples. The large whirling logs basket in the next to last photo is 24\" tall and the pots are 14\"-23\" tall. Basket doll in the last photo is 18\" tall. Just for some examples.
