Up for sale is a rather uncommon set to encounter on the military collectible scene outside of Eastern Europe, I present to you a completely authentic Soviet Lieutenant General’s uniform set. Consisting of a jacket, riding trousers and a visor cap, it is (almost) all you’d need for a proper display!
This uniform belonged to quite a big cheese in the Soviet Union, in more ways than one. Adorning the shoulders is the insignia of a Lieutenant General, which is denoted through 2 high-quality embroidered stars. Featured on the chest is an appropriate General’s academy badge as well as the awards one might expect a fellow of this rank to hold. It is quite the large size, as you can probably tell from its fit on the mannequin (not included!) in the first picture. The riding trousers are also very large around, as well as tall, featuring adjustable buttons on the bottom cuff as well as the waist. The cap is a generous size 58, and can be adjusted through the tied string in the band (a feature that only General’s hats had). It is made of gabardine, and has quite the weight to it, so expect a large package greeting you on your doorstep.
