Beautiful excellent condition Original Civil War Union Officers Kepi or hat insignia. Embroidered with gold bullion thread. Says “US” at center in fancy script. This is surrounded by elaborate leaf flourish on each side. Delicate gold rope border all the way around. On back wool or velvet. No damage that I can see. Measures 3 1/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches high. Original not a reproduction. I have collected for 50 years and know the difference. See all photographs as there are no returns. Excellent condition Officers Hat Kepi Insignia.
