• The image shows tall-mastedships in the harbor and the legend key identifies Navy Point, FortTompkins, South Cantonment, Pike Cantonment, FortChauncey, Horse Island, and two Block Houses.
• The image area measures 9.6 x 19 cm [3¾" x 7½"], and theengraving is titled South East View of Sackett's Harbour.
• It was copied from the original engraving by WilliamStrickland of a drawing by Thomas Birch in the May 1815 issue of The Port Folioand was engraved and printed by Gavit & Duthie.
• It waspublished in Volume Two ofTheDocumentaryHistory of the State of NewYork, Edmund Bailey O'Callaghan, Albany, New York, 1849.
