Bought from a dealer in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and described as ‘NorthernPlains Beaded Bag’.
Beaded flat bag of hide with appliqué beadwork panel to front, beaded inopaque glass seed beads in a geometric design in light blue, yellow and darkblue, edged with lane-stitched border of transparent dark blue. Bottom fringed.Hide handle. Age uncertain, but circa mid-late 20th Century.
Length: whole bag including fringeapprox. 13 inches. Width: approx. 6 inches.
Condition: Beadwork intact.Hide shows age and some soiling/stains. Hide handle is somewhat brittle.
